Morning After Recovery Yoga

"Run Recovery Yoga" or "Yoga for Runners" may be an appropriate name, since the class will be designed around the needs of endurance athletes. We will begin with a series of simple yoga movements to break up lactic buildup and loosen muscles sore from the achievements of your 13.1 Half-Marathon or your 7-Miler.
After gently getting the blood moving, we'll move to the floor for a series of longer, more relaxed postures aimed at releasing tension held deeper in the muscles and ligaments - All about the muscles runners use most, your glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps and IT-band will forget all about mile 9 by the end of this class! Class will be appropriate for both beginner and more experienced yogis.
